Enjoy spectacular sunsets from the large Isle of Skye facing windows in both Camus Mhor and Nevis Bank.

Situation

Situated near Mallaig with panoramic views of the Cuillin hills of Skye. These detached cottages offer superbly comfortable accommodation and have full central heating. They have 3 bedrooms - 2 double, 1 twin - which can sleep up to 6 persons. Each cottage has a private drive and ample parking space. Sorry no pets.

Local Beach

The local beach features both sand and shingle to suit all tastes.

Facilities

Camus Mhor has a bathroom with bath and power shower, while Nevis Bank has a bathroom with spa and shower. The kitchens with integrated dining areas are well equipped and include microwave, oven, hob, cooker, fridge, freezer, washer-drier, dishwasher, etc. Spacious lounge areas, well furnished and well decorated with feature fireplace, teletext TV and video.

These 2 luxury cottages have panoramic views of the Isle of Skye and the Knoydart peninsula. Both have a conservatory and patio windows with a clear view of the sea. Five minutes walk will take you to the sandy and rocky beach.

The town of Mallaig

The local town of Mallaig features a wide variety of shops and has a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Location

The cottages are situated in a secluded position at the mouth of Loch Nevis (known as Loch of Heaven) in the delightful unspoilt country at the end of the Road to the Isles and the ferry to the romantic Isle of Skye.

The properties overlook a quiet beach where otters and seals are frequently seen. There is unlimited space for walking, climbing and exploring with an abundant variety of wild flora, fauna and birds.

The busy fishing village of Mallaig, with swimming pool and Heritage Centre is 1.5 miles (3 minutes by car) and it is only a short distance from the magnificent white sandy beaches for which the area is renowned, including Camusdarrach and Refuge beaches where Local Hero and Highlander were filmed.

Mallaig is also the rail terminus for the steam train from Fort William (summer months only). The West Highland Line is one of the most scenic in Britain.

Isle of Skye ferry

Cruises to the Isle of Skye and the Inner Hebridean Isles are available from Mallaig.

Activities

A wide range of activities are available in the area with sailing, rowing and canoeing, as well as sea and fresh water fishing easily arranged. The local golf course is small but enjoyable. There are frequent ferry services to the Isle of Skye and the Inner Hebridean Isles of Eigg, Rum, Muck and Canna.

The mail boat visits the small village of Inverie on the beautiful Knoydart peninsula, the Last Wilderness in the United Kingdom, three days a week.
